Title - Computational Nanotechnology - Alessandra Ricca
My research efforts are devoted to Computational Nanotechnology. One area of my research work focuses on the computation of very accurate thermodynamic properties and reaction pathways for systems involved in the fabrication of carbon nanotubes (such as transition metal dimers and clusters, transition metal carbonyls). Another area of my research focuses on modeling the fabrication of conducting protein nanotubes and the functionalization of carbon nanotubes using both ab initio methods and molecular mechanics.
