Lead and coordinate experimental nanotechnology efforts in (1) the carbon nanotube based microscopy probes, field emitters, electrode and electronics biosensors, nanolithography, and molecular electronics; (2) the organic molecular wires and electronic devices; and (3) biochip nanotechnology, and (4) nanopore nanotechnology for single molecular
detection. |

Carry out computational nanotechnology research on the above mentioned experimental nanotechnology projects. Use Gaussian, tight-binding, LDA, DFT and molecular dynammics simulations to study structrual, mechanical, electrical and optical properties of carbon nanotubes, molecular wires, polymers and biological molecules. |
